Thirst Quencher – Coconut

For the thirsty visitors to this year’s garden show in the city of Cagayan de Oro, a stand has prepared itself with a load of coconuts poured onto the ground.
A man with a machete peels the coconuts in advance in such a way that they are still naturally closed but can be opened very quickly for the parched throats. Another man scrapes the still soft flesh out of the young coconuts. This is mixed together with coconut water, canned milk, and sugar to make lemonade.

The process of peeling the coconut, scraping out the pulp and buying coconut lemonade is captured in the following video.
