Live Poultry Market

After the live chicken, duck, goose and turkey vendors on Limketkai Drive in Cagayan de Oro City were evicted from one side of the street to the other, their numbers have become even smaller.
During our visit with the video camera to the vendors one morning, however, I could not find any geese and turkeys for sale. The native chickens, however, seem to be in demand among the clientele. The dealer, Arnold, had just received a shipment of these chickens with their feet tied together and was in the process of freeing them and putting them in his cage. While doing this, he also told us the prices: Live chickens are currently traded at 350 pesos/kg and ducks at 250 pesos/kg.

Surely we have captured all this on video
