Jeepneys, which travel to the remote parts of the city and far into the province and even to neighbouring provinces, are motorised workhorses.

They usually start and end their journeys at large markets, using so-called market-to-market roads. Agricultural products find their way to the markets in the cities and goods for the inhabitants and agriculture in the areas.

Only a full jeepney earns money, and full is when it is really full and the roof is also packed high with goods and people.
