Video: PLACES in MISAMIS ORIENTAL | VILLANUEVA | The MARKET STREETS
A large area of the large rice fields of the municipality of VILLANUEVA, in the province of MISAMIS ORIENTAL, in NORTHERN MINDANAO has been filled up. Here the municipality is building a huge new town hall. However, the municipality still does not have a public market for its citizens.
This is called progress or monument building for local politicians.
They have to make do with small shops and stalls along the coastal road, the beginning of the N 955, and the surrounding side streets. We walked the streets of the so-called market with the video camera and came across a lot of interesting people who earn their living here.
