Giant sunflowers
Kinawe Blooming Farm is located in Kinawe, Libona, Bukidnon, and is only 30 to 40 minutes drive from Cagayan de Oro City. Lately, it has become very popular among locals as the huge sunflowers are in full bloom, providing a vast green backdrop with golden yellow splashes of color – perfect for photographers and flower lovers.
The sight to be seen here in the late afternoon is simply mesmerizing. The soft glow of the setting sun hits the flowers and makes them shine in an even brighter hue. The sunflowers are so large that the plants are even taller than most visitors, and their blooms are even as large as both of your outstretched hands.
Other attractions
In addition to the sunflowers, there are also Vietnam roses in various bright colors and organic vegetables, both of which are for sale. Kinawe Farm is still in its early stages, and huts are still being built in the area.
Best time to visit Kinawe
The Kinawe Blooming Farm is also very easy to find. It is located just off the highway (Indahag-Libona road), so getting there is not a problem. We recommend visiting the farm between 4 and 5 pm to avoid the scorching heat of the sun and to experience the magical effect of the afternoon light on the flowers.
